Questions we get asked
What hardware do I need?
Any Android tablet with a front camera (Android 7.0 or later) and Wi-Fi, mounted by the entrance. For the live TV board, any Android tablet or Android TV box. No Wi-Fi at the door, or need a whole new network? We install that too, on a separate written quote.
How does the free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no payment details. Set up Direct Debit from the Billing page before the trial ends; the first invoice is issued when the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Is face recognition GDPR-compliant?
Face recognition only runs for employees whose explicit consent is recorded in the panel. At enrolment we keep a face template for matching and a reference photo, both stored in the UK. They are deleted automatically when the employee is marked as a leaver, and whenever you remove the face or record a withdrawal of consent. You can run PIN-only or QR badges instead.
Does it work if the internet goes down?
Yes. Staff keep clocking in on the tablet; punches are stored on the tablet and sync when the connection is back, with the real time kept. The fire roll call works offline too.
Does it work with our payroll software?
Payroll exports formatted for Xero, Sage 50, BrightPay, QuickBooks, Moneysoft and IRIS/Staffology are on the Team and Pro plans; summary reports as CSV and PDF are on every plan. It is a file you import rather than a live connection. On Pro, other systems can also read the data through the REST API.
